The 5th edition of World Tea & Coffee Expo at Mumbai in November 2017 was concluded successfully, enabling major new business opportunities. A trade fair dedicated to Tea, Coffee & Allied sectors, the fifth chapter of the World Tea & Coffee Expo or WTCE went on for 3 days showcasing products/technologies from over 70 exhibitors with Govt. Pavilions from India, Sri Lanka and Nepal recording a footfall of over 3700.
Organised by Sentinel Exhibitions Asia Pvt Ltd, this year’s event was inaugurated by Her Excellency Ms Saroja Sirisena, Consul General of Sri Lanka in Mumbai and Mr Saud Salim Al Mazrouei, Director, Sharjah Airport International Free Zone (SAIF Zone), Government of Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. Supported by M/s Green Brrew, a growing green coffee company as ‘Associate Partner’, WCTE’s 5th edition had additional features like a bigger display system, more networking events, educational content and national/international speakers etc.
Buyers from various countries thronged the trade fair, including countries like USA, EU, UAE, UK, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, China, Nepal, Iran, Russia etc. Acting as an accelerator for companies from around the world to develop and enhance their base in the country, the expo enabled the launch of various modern innovations, which will in turn set the trends in relation to the whole range of industries of the Hot Beverage sector.
“Since the past five years, this distinctive expo has been providing the most conducive setting for the hot beverage industry to meet and interact with each other to develop business opportunities. This year was even more successful than the previous editions.” said Ms Priti Kapadia, Director, Sentinel Exhibitions Asia Pvt., while speaking about the expo. Since its launch in 2013, the event has brought global industry players closer, enabling major deals apart from being a promising launch pad for new products and technologies, especially for low budget start-ups and SMEs aspiring for national & international exposure.
Apart from companies from the Hot Beverages Sector, the trade fair also witnessed the presence of stakeholders from allied sectors including Hoteliers and Institutional Caterers, Restaurateurs/ Cafe owners/ Resorts/ Caterers, Airlines representatives, Importers & Exporters, Hotel Suppliers Dealers, Mass Grocers, Supermarkets & Malls, Purchase Managers of large offices &retail chains, Packaging professionals, Dietitians / Nutritionists / Food Professionals, Chefs and cooking experts, Tea & Coffee Aficionados etc.
